HRM EZE DR. LAWRENCE NNANTA ELUWA – The EBO UKWU II OF THE ANCIENT KINGDOM OF AMIZI EPE OLOKORO AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY.
A rare gem has returned to his Maker, a great tree has fallen, yet his shade will forever shelter his people!
With hearts weighed down in grief but lifted in immeasurable gratitude to the Almighty for a life of grace, we announce the transition to glory of our resilient traditional ruler, our beloved father, brother, grandfather, leader, and custodian of tradition, His Royal Majesty, Eze Lawrence Nnanta Eluwa, Ebo Ukwu II of Amizi Epe Autonomous Community, Olokoro Umuahia, who was called home peacefully in the early hours of 1st September 2025.
A pillar of faith and a source of inspiration, HRM Eze Eluwa lived a life that embodied humility, courage, and godliness. He touched countless lives and stood as a beacon of hope in time of challenge.
His passing marks the end of an era, yet his works and values will echo through generations!

Tribute To My Darling Husband
Darling, Agunaechemba! A union that was made in heaven, words cannot express the love you showered on me and to the humanity in general.
If I said that I am not shocked about your death, I am lying to a fact, because you were healthy and strong but it is only God Almighty that knows the appropriate time for each person.
Holy man, you slept unto the Lord on that 31st night of August, joining the host of saints in heaven singing Alleluia to the Lord.
You are a man of peace. You peacefully slept on to the Lord without stress.
I glorified the name of the Lord, all honour I give to Lord who knowest it all.
As a man of love you are, you loved and cared for all without prejudice. You give out your treasure, time and talent to the service of God and man. My Royal Majesty, you are ever and always ready to say I am sorry to whosoever offended you. No grudges of any kind, a man with great forgiving heart. You never relent in helping humanity, you believed so much in philosophy that the young shall grow.
My darling, you are Kpakpando, the indomitable achiever, builder whose selflessness and indomitable spirit for peace, equity and justice have endured to people far and near. You have, with fear of God, honesty and humanity achieved a lot in life.
Darling! Agunaechemba, Nnabobo, you have fought like a hero and you conquered like a hero you are. I loved and missed you greatly, go in peace.

Tribute to His Royal Majesty Eze Dr. Nnanta Eluwa (Eboukwu 11)
I received the news of the death of HRM Eze Nnanta Eluwa with shock.
I remember with emotions that his last official assignment was a meeting of ndi Eze Olokoro at the local government headquarters Apumiri where we interacted.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to the royal family and the entire Amizi Epe Autonomous Community on the passing of His Royal Majesty.
Eze Dr. Eluwa was one of the men who sacrificed their time and resources for the development of Olokoro. He was a friend of my father Late Elder Peter Nwosu. He was a man of wisdom and peace. His death is a great loss to the great people of Amizi, Epe, Olokoro, umuahia south and the entire state.
As we mourn this loss, we are consoled by the legacy, memory and remarkable contributions he made in his community.
May his soul rest in eternal peace in the presence of the Almighty, and may his family, the Amizi people, and all who mourn find comfort and strength during this
difficult time.

On behalf of the government and the people of Umuahia South, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the royal family and the entire Amizi Epe Autonomous Community on the passing of His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Lawrence Nnanta Eluwa (Eboukwu II).
Eze Dr. Eluwa was a pillar of wisdom, leadership, and selfless service to his people. Under his reign, the Amizi Epe community experienced unparalleled unity, cultural enrichment, and sustainable development. His influence
transcended his position as a traditional ruler, and his unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people has left an indelible mark on the history of this community.
His Majesty’s passing has created a deep void, but his legacy, one rooted in leadership, peace, and progress, will continue to inspire future generations. As
we mourn this loss, we honour his memory and the remarkable contributions he made during his lifetime.
In this time of grief, we stand in solidarity with the Amizi Epe Autonomous Community and the entire Olokoro Clan.
We pledge our full support in ensuring that His Majesty’s burial is carried out with the dignity and respect he so richly
deserves.

Men and Women of Amizi who held various traditional titles in the Community and beyond and worked to the cultural development of the Community. They have all gone, but there contributions and legacies remain with the Community.

Amizi Epe Olokoro Autonomous Community has many traditional leaders including Ota (traditional Prime Minister), Ikwus, High Chiefs and Chiefs. These traditional leaders participate in the decision making of HRM. Some of these traditional leaders reside in the community while some base outside the Community including overseas.
